FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about switching to solar energy and how it benefits your home or business.
On-Grid: Connected to the main electricity grid. Excess power is sent to the grid via Net-Metering.
Off-Grid: Completely independent from the grid, using battery storage to provide power during the night or cloudy days.
Hybrid: A combination of both. It remains connected to the grid but also has battery storage for backup during power outages.
Most modern solar panels come with a performance warranty of 25 years. While the efficiency may slightly decrease over time, the system will continue to generate electricity well beyond its warranty period. Inverters usually have a lifespan of 10-15 years.
Yes, the Government of India provides attractive subsidies for Residential Rooftop Solar installations under the PM Surya Ghar: Muft Bijli Yojana. Businesses cannot claim direct subsidies but can benefit from 40% Accelerated Depreciation tax benefits.
Net-Metering is a billing mechanism that credits solar energy system owners for the electricity they add to the grid. If your solar panels produce more electricity than you use, the "net" surplus is exported to the grid, and you are credited on your next utility bill.
Solar panels can still generate electricity on cloudy or rainy days by using indirect sunlight. However, the production will be lower than on a bright sunny day. At night, On-Grid systems draw power from the utility grid, while Hybrid systems draw from batteries.
Solar systems have no moving parts and require very little maintenance. The primary task is keeping the panels clean—usually a simple water wash every 15 days is sufficient to ensure maximum efficiency. We also recommend an annual professional technical check-up.
Not necessarily. Most roofs are perfectly suitable for solar. During our free site survey, our engineers will inspect the structural integrity of your roof to ensure it can safely support the mounting structures and panels for the next 25 years.
